“I-I don’t understand,” I choked out, my eyes moving around the circle. Liam was on the field too to my surprise, and somehow Nessa and Dreya were here as well. They knew about this?

His teammates were all smiling, and Odell even had a cutout picture of my head on his hands. “Is this a joke?”

“Cashmere Selassie Rawlings, for the past two years I’ve fallen in love with you every day, over and over. From when I first met you, I knew you were special, and every day you make me the happiest man on earth. Will you do me the honor of being with me for the rest of our life?”

My jaw dropped and I felt tears run down my cheeks. “Oh my god, yes!”

He smiled and hugged me tightly before giving me a tender kiss. The roar around us from his team and the stadium was almost deafening but I couldn’t hear it. We were in our own little world.

“Congratulations!” Liam said, hugging me tightly. “It was so hard to keep this a secret from you for this long.”

“You knew?” I then looked at Nessa and Dreya with tears in my eyes. “You guys too?”

“Of course, who do you think went ring shopping with him?” Dreya replied, a bright smile on her face. My eyes zeroed in on the diamond ring sitting on my finger. It was beautiful and I couldn’t believe that this was all happening at once. Then I turned to the causer of panic, Zeus who was being dapped up by his teammates.

“I thought you were injured, dickhead,” I said, slapping him on his chest. “You really scared me!”

He laughed. “I’m okay, babe. Besides, I know you don’t watch the games. This was the only way I knew you’d actually come down here from the box.”

I smiled and kissed him once more. “I hate you.”

  “False. Actually, you love me.”

“I honestly do, Zeus. I really do.”
